AlphaZeta Interactive Wins Three Horizon Interactive Awards for its Work on Aon’s “Pass It On Campaign,” including “Best in Category”

CHICAGO, May 2, 2012 - AlphaZeta Interactive wins three Horizon Interactive Awards, including Best of Category, Bronze, and Silver awards for its work on Aon plc’s “Pass It On” Campaign.

The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international, interactive media awards competition with a rich history of recognizing the best websites, video, print and interactive media. This is AlphaZeta’s second year as award winners.

Aon's "Pass It On" program combines elements of employee engagement, community service and client partnerships to demonstrate to the world how Aon focuses on empowering results for its clients and communities.  Since October 2011, three regional route teams from Aon—Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas—have been competing for points as they pass real Manchester United footballs along three transcontinental routes covering approximately 180,000 kilometers, nearly four-and-a-half times the Earth's circumference. To date, the footballs have traveled over 165,000 kilometers across160 cities in 55 countries.

To document the real-world travel of the footballs and encourage global knowledge sharing, AlphaZeta built the www.aonpassiton.com site, where an interactive competition takes place with Aon’s colleagues.  Through this site, Aon colleagues around the globe earn points for their team by answering business-related Questions of the Day and uploading photos and videos from their offices. In five months, more than 3,200 photos have been uploaded to the Pass It On website and nearly 580,000 Questions of the Day have been answered.

The campaign won Horizon Awards for “Best in Category” for Internal Communications, a Bronze Award for Non-profit/Activism, and a Silver Award for Social Media.
